These Orders are made in exercise of powers conferred by section 16 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016). The Central Government, after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards and deeming it necessary in the public interest, has collectively rescinded the following Quality Control Orders, all previously issued on April 27, 2022: the Lauric Acid (Quality Control) Order, 2022 (vide S.O. 1961(E)); the Acid Oil (Quality Control) Order, 2022 (vide S.O. 1962(E)); the Palm Fatty Acids (Quality Control) Order, 2022 (vide S.O. 1963(E)); the Rice Bran Fatty Acids (Quality Control) Order, 2022 (vide S.O. 1964(E)); the Coconut Fatty Acids (Quality Control) Order, 2022 (vide S.O. 1965(E)); and the Hydrogenated Rice Bran Fatty Acids (Quality Control) Order, 2022 (vide S.O. 1967(E)).
