The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, issued a corrigendum dated 19th August 2024 (Ref: HQ-PUB-BIS (1006)) amending an earlier notification in Part III, Section 4 of the Gazette of India (referencing prior publications from 2019 through 2023), in pursuance of sub-rule (1) of Rule 15 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Rules, 2018. It records establishment dates and, where applicable, withdrawal dates (with the withdrawal date generally 15 February 2025) for nine Indian Standards concerning terrestrial photovoltaic (PV) modules, including IS 14286 (Part 1):2023/IEC 61215-1:2021 and related Part 1 sections (superseding IS 14286:2010/IEC 61215:2005 and IS 16077:2013/IEC 61646:2008), IS 14286 (Part 2):2023/IEC 61215-2:2021, IS 16169:2019/IEC 62116:2014 (superseding IS 16169:2014/IEC 62116:2008), and IS/IEC 61730-1:2016 and IS/IEC 61730-2:2016 (superseding their 2004 predecessors), covering design qualification, type approval, test procedures, islanding prevention and safety qualification of PV modules.
