NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 21st January, 2026
S.O. 339(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and
Highways, Department of Road Transport and Highways number S.O.561(E) dated 31 January 2025, published in
Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the
National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared
its intention to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for
Widening, Reconstruction & Upgradation to 2 lane with paved shoulder/four lane configuration for the work of
Ahmednagar to Sabalkhed from Design Km 2.915 to Km 37.728 & Ashti to Chinchpur Design Km 55.100 To
Km 70.000, connecting Ahmednagar and Beed District Section of National Highway No. 561 (Design
length=49.713 Km) in the district of Ahmadanagar in the state of Maharashtra.
And whereas the substance of the said notification S.O.561(E) dated 31 January 2025 has been published in
"Dainik Deshdoot Times(English)” and “Dainik Pudhari (Marathi)" Both Dated 18 February 2025 ; under sub-
section (3) of section 3A of the said Act;
And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3-C, considered and
settled the same appropriately;
And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has
submitted its report to the Central Government;
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers
conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land
specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall
vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
SCHEDULE
Brief description of the land to be acquired with or without structure, to be acquired for the section of
National Highway No.561 in Ahmednagar Taluka Ahmednagar district Maharashtra,connecting Ahmednagar
and Beed District,from Ahmednagar to Sabalkhed (Km 2.915 to Km 37.728) from Ashti to Chinchpur (Km
55-100 to Km 70.000) for widening/construction of 2- lane / 4-lane paved shoulder.
