The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, through Corrigendum S.O. 3821(E) dated 20th August, 2025, exercises powers conferred by clause (a) of section 3 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) to amend its notification S.O. 4935(E) dated 14.11.2024. This amendment pertains to the work of widening the existing 2-lane to 4-lane with paved shoulder, including strengthening of the carriageway, from Km 80/0-Km 125/0 of Salem Tirupathur - Vaniyambadi Road of NH-179A in the state of Tamil Nadu. Specifically, in the schedule to the principal notification S.O. 4166(E) dated 19.11.2020, against serial no. 1 in column 2, the entry 'District Revenue Officer, Krishnagiri' is substituted with 'Special District Revenue Officer, Land Acquisition, National Highways, Vellore'. The principal notification S.O. 4166(E) dated 19.11.2020 was published on 19.11.2020, with subsequent amendments published vide S.O. 4086 (E) dated 31.08.2022, S.O. 1029 (E) dated 01.03.2023, and S.O. 4935(E) dated 14.11.2024.
