Detailed Summary

By S.O. 2250(E) dated 20th May, 2025, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways declares the acquisition of land for the building, maintenance, management, and operation of NH45A in the stretch from Km. 0 to Km. 29 in the district of VILLUPURAM, state of TAMIL NADU. This follows a previous notification S.O. 4964 Dated:19/11/2024 published under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), which declared the intention to acquire the land. The substance of the intention notification was published in "Daily Thanthi" and "The New Indian Express" on 23.12.2024, as required by sub-section (3) of section 3A of the Act. Objections filed under Section 3-C were received, considered, and settled by the Competent Authority. In pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D, the competent authority submitted its report to the Central Government. Upon receipt of this report, the Central Government, exercising powers under sub-section (1) of section 3D, declares the land specified in the Schedule should be acquired. Furthermore, under sub-section (2) of section 3D, the Central Government declares that upon publication of this notification, the land in the Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances. The schedule details private land parcels (Survey/Plot Numbers 33/16B1, 33/17D, 33/18A, 40/1A, 40/2A) in Village Malavarayanur, Taluk Viluppuram, District VILLUPURAM, TAMIL NADU, totaling 0.1744 Hectares.

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-21052025-263266 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2196] NEW DELHI, TUESDAY, MAY 20, 2025/VAISAKHA 30, 1947 MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 20th May, 2025 S.O. 2250(E). — Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, 4964 Dated:19/11/2024, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intension to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for building (widening/four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation of NH45A in the stretch of land from Km. 0 to Km. 29 (Second Floor Collector Office Building Viluppuram) in the district of VILLUPURAM in the state of TAMIL NADU And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in “Daily Thanthi” and “The New Indian Express" both dated 23.12.2024 under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act; And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3-C, considered and settled the same appropriately; And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
