The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), vide Notification F. No. BS/11/04/2018 dated 19th December, 2025, reappoints members to its Finance Advisory Committee, Standards Advisory Committee, Testing and Calibration Advisory Committee, Consumer Affairs Advisory Committee, Research Advisory Committee, and Training Advisory Committee. This reappointment, effective for a period of two years from the date of publication in the Official Gazette, is made in exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 read with Section 39 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016), and regulations 3 and 9 of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Advisory Committees) Regulations, 2018. The decision, approved by the Executive Committee of BIS, maintains the same composition for these Advisory Committees (referred to as A, C, D, E, F and G) as was previously notified on 13 September 2023. The notification details the specific composition for each committee, including designated Chairmen, Member-Secretaries, and representatives from various Ministries such as Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Commerce and Industry, Environment, Forest and Climate Change, New and Renewable Energy, Housing and Urban Affairs, as well as numerous other government bodies, research institutes, industry associations, and consumer organizations.

In exercise of the powers conferred by "Section 5 read with Section 39" of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016), read with regulations 3 and 9 of Bureau of Indian Standards (Advisory Committees) Regulations, 2018, the Bureau, with the approval of the Executive Committee of BIS, keeping the composition same for Advisory Committees referred to as A, C, D, E, F and G, as was notified on 13 September 2023, hereby, reappoints the following persons as members of the Advisory Committees for a period of two years from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, namely:- Finance Advisory Committee (i) Special Secretary or Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution - Chairman; (ii) Director General of the Bureau; (iii) Additional Secretary or Joint Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs in the Ministry ofConsumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution; (iv) one representative of the National Institute of Financial Management, Faridabad; (v) one representative of the Office of Comptroller General of Accounts; (vi) Chief Financial Officer of Bureau of Energy Efficiency; (vii)any other member, as nominated by the Chairman; (viii) Deputy Director General (Finance) of the Bureau - Member-Secretary.
