Span Ventures Private Limited, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services, at KPM Nagar, Rathinam Software Park, Kurichi Village, Eachanari, Coimbatore District in the State of Tamil Nadu; And, whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, had notified and de -notified the following areas at above Special Economic Zone as details given below in the table: - Sl. Span Ventures Private Limited has now proposed for de - notification of 1.22 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No.2479/MIE -2/2021 -3 dated 27th September, 2021. Further, after de - notification, the de -notified land parcel would be utilized towards creation of infrastructure which would sub -serve the objective of the SEZ as originally envisaged. Post de -notification, use of such land parcels will conform to land use guidelines/master plans of the Government of Tamil Nadu; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, MEPZ Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de -notification of an area of 1.22 hectares of the Special Economic Zone. NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub - section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE , in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub -section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 1.22 hectares , thereby making resultant area as 1.715 hectares .
