NOTIFICATION
New De lhi, the 18th September, 2023
S.O. 4122(E).—Whereas, M/s. Electronics Technology Parks Kerala (Technopark) , had proposed under
section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a
Special Eco nomic Zone for IT/ITES at Village Attipra, Taluk and District Thiruvananthapuram in the state of Kerala ;
AND, WHEREAS , the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (1) of
section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, had notified and de -notified the
following areas at above Special Economic Zone as deta ils given below in the table: -

AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Electronics Technology Parks Kerala (Technopark) has now proposed for
de-notification of 1.8687 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone;
AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Kerala has given its approval to the proposal vide letter
Nos. IT-A2/9/2021 -ITD dated 31st August, 2021 and IT -A2/38/2022 -ITD dated 20th June, 2022;
AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Cochin Special Economic Zone has recommend ed the
proposal for de -notification of an area of 1.8687 hectares of the above the Special Economic Zone. Further, the area
after the de -notification will be utilised for construction of Multi -level Car Parking and setting up of commercial
project;
AND, WH EREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub -section (8) of section
3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled;
NOW, THEREFORE , in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub -section (1) of se ction 4
of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the
Central Government hereby de -notifies an area of 1.8687 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone, thereby
making the total area of the Special Economic Zone as 17.5866 hectares. The survey numbers and area for the
de-notification are given below in the table, namely: -
