The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Commerce), through the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, issued Public Notice No. 37/2025-26 on 11th December, 2025. In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 1.03 and 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy-2023, amendments have been made to the Unit of Measurement (UOM) for import items specified under SION A-290, with immediate effect. For the export product Metformin HCL (1 kg), the UOM for import item Dicyanodiamide has been changed from "0.567 kg/kg" to "0.567 Kg.", and for DMF, it has been changed from "0.37 kg/kg" to "0.37 Kg.".
