The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, through Notification S.O. 3285(E) dated 18th July, 2025, in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), has declared its intention to acquire land for the public purpose of building (widening/four laning etc.), maintenance, management, and operation of National Highway 766C. The land required is located in the stretch from Km 146.00 to Km 154.00 (Baindoor - Ranebennur section) in the Shivamogga district of Karnataka. Any interested person may object to this acquisition within twenty-one days from the notification's publication date. Objections must be submitted in writing to the Competent Authority, specifically the Special Land Acquisition Officer and Assistant Commissioner Sagar Sub Division Sagar, stating the grounds for objection. The Competent Authority will provide an opportunity for a hearing and its decision, made under sub-section (2) of section 3C of the said Act, shall be final. Land plans and other acquisition details are available for inspection at the Competent Authority's office. The Schedule details private wet land parcels across villages Sadashivapura, Channahalli, Nelavagilu, Haliyuru, and Gabburu within Shikaripura Taluk, Shivamogga District, Karnataka, totaling approximately 4.9331773 hectares.

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-19072025-264807 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 3215] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, JULY 18, 2025/ASHADHA 27, 1947 MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 18th July, 2025 S.O. 3285(E).β€”In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, after being satisfied that for the public purpose, the land, the brief description of which is given in the Schedule below, is required for building(widening/four laning etc.,), maintenance, management and operation of National Highway 766C in the stretch of land from Km 146.00 to Km 154.00 (Baindoor - Ranebennur section) in the district of SHIVAMOGGA in the state of KARNATAKA, hereby declares its intention to acquire such land. Any person interested in the said land may, within twenty-one days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, object to the use of such land for the aforesaid purpose under sub-section(1) of section 3C of the said Act. Every such objection shall be made to the Competent Authority, namely, Special Land Acquisition Officer and Assistant Commissioner Sagar Sub Division Sagar in writing and shall set out the grounds thereof and the Competent Authority shall give the objector an opportunity of being heard, either in person or by a legal practitioner, and may, after hearing all such objections and after making such further enquiry, if any, as the Competent Authority thinks necessary, by order, either allow or disallow the objections. Any order made by the Competent Authority under sub-section (2) of section 3C of the said Act shall be final. The land plans and other details of the land to be acquired under their notification are available and can be inspected by the interested person at the aforesaid office of the Competent Authority.
