NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 15th July, 2024
S.O. 2869(E).—Whereas, M/s. Information Technology Park Limited, had proposed under section 3 of the
Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up an Information
Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services Special Economic Zone at Sadaramangala/Pattandur
Agrahara, International Tech Park, Whitefield Road, Bangalore, in the State of Karnataka;
AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section
4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, had notified an area of 10.87 hectares at
the above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 545(E) dated
10th April, 2007;
AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Information Technology Park Limited has now proposed for de-notification of 1.78
hectares from the above Special Economic Zone;
AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Karnataka has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No.
CI 161 SPI 2023 dated 5th October, 2023;
AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Cochin SEZ has recommended the proposal for de-
notification of an area of 1.78 hectares of the Special Economic Zone.
AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the
said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4
of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the
Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 1.78 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 9.09 hectares. The
Survey numbers and the area for de-notification are given below in the table, namely: -
