NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 18th June, 2026
S.O. 3212(E).- Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport
and Highways,S.O.No.1453(E) Dated:19/03/2026, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3,
Sub-section (ii) issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter
referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intension to acquire the land specified in the Schedule
annexed to the said notification for the proposed Access Controlled Highway of 4 lane with Paved Shoulders from Km.
17.560 to Km. 61.510 for a total project length of 43.950 Km of Chennai -Tirupatisection of NH-716 in the district of
TIRUVALLUR in the state of TAMIL NADU
And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in "The Hindu" (English) and
'Dinathandhi" (Tamil) both dated the 06.05.2026 under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act;
And whereas, no objections has been received from the persons interested in said lands within the time
stipulated under section 3C(1) of National Highways Act, 1956;
And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Competent Authority has
submitted his report to the Central Government;
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers
conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land
specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest
absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
SCHEDULE
Brief Description of the land to be acquired with or without structures entry is required for the proposed Access
Controlled Highway of 4 Lane with Paved Shoulders from Km 17.560 to Km 61.510 for a total project length of
43.950 Km of Chennai - Tirupati section of NH-716 in respect of 10 Villages i.e., 1. Dharanivarahapuram, 2.
Velanjeri, 3.Sathranjayapuram, 4.Kuppam, 5.Nedumbaram, 6.Kanchipadi, 7.Pattabiramapuram, 8.Ramanjeri,
9.Pattaraiperumbudhur-A & 10.Pattaraiperumbudhur-B in the district of Tiruvallur in the state of Tamil Nadu.
