Short title and commencement.— (1) These rules may be called the Medical Termination of Pregnancy (Amendment) Rules, 2024. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Rules, 2003, — (a) in rule 3B, in clause (e), for the words “mental retardation", the words "women with intellectual disability" shall be substituted; (b) in FORM E, in sub-paragraph (e), for the words "mental retardation", the words "women with intellectual disability" shall be substituted.
