L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-19052026-272681 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2432] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, MAY 15, 2026/VAISAKHA 25, 1948 3510 GI/2026 (1) MINISTRY OF PORTS, SHIPPING AND WATERWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 15th May, 2026 S.O. 2524(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Indian Ports Act, 2025 (Act No.27 of 2025), the Central Government hereby establishes, for the purposes of the said Act, a Council to be called the Maritime State Development Council, with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette. 2. (4) The Council shall transact business at its meetings in such manner as may be specified by regulations. (5) No member shall receive any remuneration for the performance of its functions under this Act. (6) The Chairperson shall have the powers of general superintendence and directions in the conduct of the affairs of the Council and shall discharge other powers and functions of the Council as may be assigned to him under this Act. 3.
