The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), vide No. Eco-1/2024-CERC dated 8th April 2024, in pursuance of Clause 5.6(vi) of the Ministry of Power's Guidelines for Determination of Tariff by Bidding Process for Procurement of Power by Distribution Licensees dated 19.01.2005 (as amended) and paragraphs 5.4-5.5 of MOP's Resolution on Guidelines for Tariff Based Competitive Bidding for Round-The-Clock Power from Grid Connected Renewable Energy Projects complemented with Coal Based Thermal Power dated 22.07.2020 (amended 03.11.2020), notifies annual escalation rates for the period 1.4.2024 to 30.9.2024 including 4.35% for domestic coal, -28.20% for domestic gas, -10.69% for imported coal, 18.25% for transportation of imported coal, 4.29% for inland handling of imported coal, tiered inland coal transportation charges of 0.00% for distances up to 2000 km and beyond, 46.94% for inland transportation of gas, 23.48% for imported gas, 18.25% for transportation of imported gas, 4.29% for inland handling of imported gas, 4.29% inflation applied to indexed capacity charge, and 0.56% inflation applied to indexed energy charge for captive fuel source plants, signed by Harpreet Singh Pruthi, Secretary [ADVT.-III/4/Exty./132/2024-25].
