The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, through Notification S.O. 5831(E) issued on 15th December, 2025, announces that the Central Government, in pursuance of clause (a) of section 2 of the Petroleum and Mineral Pipelines (Acquisition of Right of User in Land) Act, 1962 (50 of 1962), has authorized Sri P Duraisamy, Deputy Collector, to act as the Competent Authority. This appointment is in place of Smt M Kohila, Deputy Collector, who was previously notified via S.O. No. 2186 dated 25th November, 2024, and published in Gazette of India No. 48 dated 1st December, 2024. Sri P Duraisamy is deputed to Kochi Salem Pipeline Private Limited (KSPPL) and is also appointed as the Nodal Officer for the Kochi Salem Pipeline Project Coimbatore. He will perform the functions of the Competent Authority in the state of Tamilnadu specifically for Kochi Salem Pipeline Private Limited's Kochi-Coimbatore-Salem LPG Pipeline under the aforementioned Act. This notification is effective from its date of issue.
