                Detailed Summary
            

            
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, through Notification S.O. 3091(E) dated 12th June, 2026, declares the acquisition of land for the widening and development of NH219 in the stretch from Km. 10.800 to Km. 44.6 in the Kaimur (Bhabua) district of Bihar. This declaration is made in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) and (2) of section 3D of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956). This follows a previous notification, S.O. 3276 dated 18th July, 2025, which declared the Central Government's intention to acquire the land. The substance of the previous notification was published in "The Times of India" and "Dainik Bhaskar" on 22nd August, 2025, as required by sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act. The Competent Authority considered and settled objections filed under Section 3-C and subsequently submitted its report to the Central Government under sub-section (1) of section 3D. Upon publication of this notification, the land specified in the annexed Schedule, which includes various private and government land parcels (Agriculture, Residential, Dhanhar, Bhith one, Baandh, Lath) across villages like Goin, Jigana, Sihoria, Chand, Jhajhni, Babura, Sikthi, Bhekas, Isharpura, Akhlashpur, Datiyawn, and Betari within Taluks Chand and Bhabhua, shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 12th June, 2026

S.O. 3091(E).— Whereass by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport
and Highways, 3276 Dated:18/07/2025, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section
(ii) issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to
as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to
the said notification for construction of building (widening/two lane with paved shoulder/four laning), maintenance,
management and operation of NH219 in the stretch of land from Km. 10.800 to Km. 44.6 in the district of KAIMUR
(BHABUA) in the state of BIHAR

And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in “The Times of India" dated
22/08/2025, "Dainik Bhaskar" dated 22/08/2025; under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act;

And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3-C, considered and settled
the same appropriately;

And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has
submitted its report to the Central Government;

Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers
conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land
specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;

And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest
absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
