NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 13th March, 2025
S.O. 1201(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Environment
(Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) and in pursuance of the proviso to sub- paragraph (6) of paragraph 3 and
proviso to clause (c) of paragraph 5 of the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry
of Environment and Forests, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section
(ii), vide number S.O. 1533(E), dated the 14th September, 2006, the Central Government considering it
necessary and expedient, hereby extends the term of the Chairman and Members of the State Level
Environment Impact Assessment Authority, Meghalaya and the term of the Chairman and Members of the
State Level Expert Appraisal Committee, Meghalaya for a period up to 21st October, 2025 or till the re-
constitution of the State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority and the State Level Expert
Appraisal Committee, as the case may be, whichever is earlier, and for that purpose makes the following
amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment, Forests and
Climate Change number S.O. 1920 (E), dated the 22nd April, 2022, namely:-
In the said notification,—
(a) in paragraph 2, for the words "three years", the words "three years and six months" shall be
substituted;
(b) in paragraph 6, for the words "three years", the words "three years and six months" shall be
substituted.
