Deputation requires holding an analogous post or specific years of service in relevant pay levels, possessing a Veterinary Stock Assistant diploma, and three years of field experience in animal treatment, particularly equine and canine. The maximum age for deputation is fifty-six years. Departmental Promotion Committees for Group 'B' posts are constituted with specific Inspector General/Director/Medical Superintendent, Chief Medical Officer/Commandant, and Senior Medical Officer/Deputy Commandant/Assistant Commandant members of the Central Reserve Police Force. A Group 'B' Departmental Confirmation Committee is also specified for Sub-Inspector (Veterinary) posts.

Short title and commencement. — (1) These rules may be called the Central Reserve Police Force, Veterinary Cadre (Group 'B' Posts) Recruitment Rules, 2025. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Definitions. (1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) "Director General" means the Director General, Central Reserve Police Force; (b) "SHAPE-I" refers to the medical category as specified under the Central Reserve Police Force Standing Order No. 04 of 2008 dated the 15th December, 2008 as amended from time to time. (2) Words and expressions used herein and not defined shall have the same meanings assigned to them in the Central Reserve Police Force Act, 1949 (66 of 1949), and the Central Reserve Police Force Rules, 1955. 3. Application. These rules shall apply to the posts as specified in column (1) of the Schedule annexed to these rules. 4. Number of posts, classification and level in pay matrix. - The number of the said posts, their classification and level in the pay matrix attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the said Schedule. 5. Method of recruitment, age-limit, qualifications, etc. - The method of recruitment, age-limit, qualifications and other matters relating to the said posts shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the said Schedule. 6. Disqualification. - No person,- (a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or (b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall be eligible for appointment to the said posts: Provided that the Central Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this rule. 7. Maintenance.- Every post remained unfilled and every vacancy that may arise thereafter shall be filled in accordance with the provisions as specified in the said Schedule and the procedure as may be specified by the Central Government from time to time. 8. Seniority. The seniority shall be regulated in accordance with the Central Reserve Police Force Rules, 1955, and general instructions issued by the Central Government from time to time. 9. Ineligibility of non-citizens of India. - No person, who is not a citizen of India shall, except with the prior permission of the Central Government in writing, be appointed under these rules: Provided that nothing contained in this rule shall debar the appointment or employment of a subject of Nepal or Bhutan in the Force. 10. Superannuation. — (1) Every person appointed under these rules shall retire from service on the afternoon of the last day of the month in which he or she attains the age of sixty years or as per prescribed by the Central Government from time to time: Provided that a person whose date of birth is on the first day of a month, shall retire from service in the afternoon of the last day of the preceding month on attaining the age of sixty years or superannuation. (2) No person shall be granted extension in service beyond the prescribed age of retirement on superannuation as specified in sub-rule(1). 11. Liability of service. Any person, appointed to the said post under these rules shall be liable to serve anywhere in India or abroad. 12. Interpretation.— If any question relating to the interpretation of these rules arises, it shall be referred to the Central Government for decision. 13. Power to relax. — Where the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing and in consultation with the Union Public Service Commission, relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons. 14. Saving. Nothing in these rules shall affect reservation, relaxation of age-limit and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, the Other Backward Classes, the Ex-servicemen and other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time in this regard. Note1.- The departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. Similar, the deputationist shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion. Note2.- The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years.
