RO/Chennai/MoRTH/12014/NH -381B/43/AP/2021 -22/3D ] MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND H IGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 15th March , 2024 S.O. 1389(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, S.O. 1729(E) Dated 13.04.2023 , published in the Gazette of India No.1649 dated 13.04. 2023 , Extraordinary Part II, Section 3, Sub -section (ii) issued under sub -section (1) of sectio n 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for Widening from two lane to four l ane with paved shoulder in km 60/650 -73/2 and strengthening in km 60/650 - 61/8, 62/8 -63/4, 65/2 -67/2, 67/6 -70/0, 71/2 - 71/450 and 71/750 – 73/2 and only wearing course at km.61/8 -62/8, 63/4 -65/2, 67/2 -67/6, 70/0 -71/2 including widening of minor bridges, co nstruction of additional bridge at km.64/2, widening and reconstruction of culverts, construction of retaining walls and drain in built up areas in Musiri - Namakkal road (NH 381B) in the district of Namakkal in the state of Tamil Nadu And whereas the subs tance of the said notification has been published in “The New Indian Express” in English Language dated 01.08.2023 and “Dinakaran” in Tamil Language dated 30.07.2023 ; under sub -section (3) of section 3A of the said Act; And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3 -C, considered and settled the same appropriately; And whereas, in pursuance of sub -section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, the refore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub -section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be a cquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub -section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
