S.12011/02/2022 -MS] MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE (Department of Health and Family Welfare) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 13th March , 2024 S.O. 1372(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub -Section (1) of Section 13 of The Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act, 1994 (42 of 1994), and in supersession of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, n umbers S.O. 81(E), dated the 4th February, 1995, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub -Section (ii), S.O. 858(E), dated 20th October, 1995, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub -Sectio n (ii), dated 27th October, 1995 and S.O. 3051(E), dated 24th September, 2013, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub - Section (ii), dated 8th October, 2013, except as respects things to be done or omitted to be done befor e such supersession, the Central Government hereby appoints Director General of Health Services and the Additional Director General of Health Services (Incharge of Hospitals) as the Appropriate Authorities for all the Union Territories, except the National Capital Territory of Delhi and the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, to carry out the purposes of the aforesaid Act. 2. Secretary (Health), Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi shall be the Appropriate Authority for the National Capit al Territory of Delhi. 3. For the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir - (a) the following shall be the Appropriate Authority for Kashmir Division, namely: - (i) Director Health Services, Kashmir - Convenor; (ii) Professor and Head, Department of Medicine, Government Medical College, Srinagar - Member; and (iii) Professor and Head, Department of Surgery, Government Medical College, Srinagar - Member. (b) the following shall be the Appropriate Authority for Jammu Division, namely: - (i) Director Health Service s, Jammu - Convenor; (ii) Professor and Head, Department of Medicine, Government Medical College, Jammu - Member; and (iii) Professor and Head, Department of Surgery, Government Medical College, Jammu - Member. 4.
