Detailed Summary

The Central Government, through Notification G.S.R. 632(E) dated 15th September, 2025, issued by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (PHRD Division), has appointed Shri Snehel Naik as a Member representing the interests of the employees on the Board of Mormugao Port Authority. This appointment is made in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section 1 (f) of Section 3 of the Major Port Authorities Act, 2021, and supersedes the previous Notification G.S.R. No. 97 (E) dated 5th February, 2024, from the same Ministry. Shri Snehel Naik, who is the Working President of the Goa Port & Dock Employees' Union, assumes the role with immediate effect. The appointment is subject to the provisions of the Major Port Authorities Act, 2021, and remains valid until the earliest of three conditions: the date of validity of check-off, the attainment of the member's age of superannuation, or until further orders.
