In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 3 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby authorizes the officer mentioned in column (2) of the schedule annexed here to as the competent authority to perform the functions of such authority under the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, in respect of the stretch of land specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said schedule relating to State District, Taluka and Villages mentioned in columns (4), (5), (6) & (7) respectively of the said schedule for building, maintenance, management and operation of "Sherani Abad bypass (from Km 0+000 to Km 5+438) between existing Ch. of NH-458 from Km 38+800 to Km 43+600 road section of Nimbijodha-Degana-Merta City section of NH-458" in the state of Rajasthan.
