Detailed Summary

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, vide Notification S.O. 2662(E) dated 13th June, 2025, has, in exercise of powers conferred by clause (a) of section 3 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), authorized officers to act as competent authorities. Specifically, the Dy. Collector, LA, V.I.D.C. No-2, Nagpur office, is designated to perform functions under the said Act for land acquisition. This authorization is effective from the date of publication of the notification and pertains to the stretch of National Highway No. NH-753 from km. 231.95 to 256.45. The purpose of the land acquisition is for the upgradation to 2 laning with paved shoulders. The affected areas are located in the State of MAHARASHTRA, NAGPUR district, covering the taluks of Saoner (including villages Bawangaon, Kodegaon, Khapa) and Parseoni (including villages Palora, Nayakund).
