The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways issued Notification S.O. 1872(E) on April 13, 2026, declaring the acquisition of land specified in an annexed Schedule. This acquisition is for the building (including widening/four-laning), maintenance, management, and operation of a Connecting Bypass within the stretch of land from Km. 0 to Km. 15.5 in the Niwari district of Madhya Pradesh. This declaration follows a previous notification, S.O. 5810, dated December 16, 2025, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), which declared the Central Government's intention to acquire the land. The substance of the previous notification was published in "Free Press" and "Dainik Bhaskar" on December 19, 2025, as required by sub-section (3) of section 3A. The Competent Authority considered and settled objections filed under Section 3-C and subsequently submitted its report to the Central Government under sub-section (1) of section 3D. Upon receiving this report and exercising powers under sub-section (1) of section 3D, the Central Government now declares the land should be acquired. Furthermore, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D, the Central Government declares that upon publication of this notification, the specified land shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances. New Delhi, the 13th April, 2026

S.O. 1872(E).-Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and
Highways, 5810 Dated:16/12/2025, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section
(ii) issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to
as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intension to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed
to the said notification for building (widening/four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation
of Connecting Bypass in the stretch of land from Km. 0 to Km. 15.5 in the district of NIWARI in the state of
MADHYA PRADESH

And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in β€œFree Press” dated 19/12/2025
و "Dainik Bhaskar" dated 19/12/2025 ; under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act;

And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3-C, considered and settled
the same appropriately;

And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has
submitted its report to the Central Government;

Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers
conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land
specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;

And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall
vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
