L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-13112024-258636 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 4529] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2024 7326 GI/2024 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA: EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)] MINISTRY OF PORTS, SHIPPING AND WATERWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 13th November, 2024 S.O. 4910(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Inland Vessels Act, 2021 (24 of 2021) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, in relation to the central database as defined in clause (f) of section 3 of the said Act, hereby directs that,- (a) the competent authority as specified under section 6 of the said Act, to appoint officers to maintain the central database for inland vessels in accordance with the provisions of section 22 of the said Act and the Inland Vessels (Central Database and Allied Matters) Rules, 2024; and (b) such officer or officers, as specified in the said rules, update the central database in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (3) of section 41 of the said Act.
