No. NHAI/PIU/Motihari/NH28A/3D), noting that pursuant to notification S.O. 2863 dated 30 June 2023 issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government had declared intention to acquire land for building (widening/four-laning), maintenance, management and operation of NH28A (Piprakothi-Motihari-Sagauli-Raxaul section up to ICP) from Km. 0 to Km. 69.608 (Collectorate Motihari, East Champaran) in Purbi Champaran district, Bihar; the substance of that notification was published in Times Of India and Prabhat Khabar on 5 July 2023 under sub-section (3) of section 3A; objections were considered and disallowed by the Competent Authority (District Land Acquisition Officer, East Champaran); the competent authority submitted its report under sub-section (1) of section 3D; the Central Government declares, under sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 3D, that the land in the annexed Schedule (total 0.3709833 hectares across ten plots in Village Dhanhar Dihuli, Ramgarhwa Taluk, including agricultural and roadside agricultural land in survey/plot numbers 2805, 2824, 2827, 2828, 2829, 3204, 3215, 3216, 3217 and 3221, several disputed among named private owners) is acquired and vests absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances upon publication; signed by Abhay Jain, Deputy Secretary.

NHAI/PIU/Motihari/NH28A/3D ] MINISTR Y OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND H IGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 1 2th October, 2023 S.O. 4464(E).— hereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, S.O. No. 2863 Dated:30/06/2023 , published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) issued under sub -section (1) of s ection 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Ac t), the Central Government declared its intension to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for building (widening/four -laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation of NH28A (Piprakothi -Motihari -Sagauli -Raxaul section upto ICP) in the stretch of land from Km. 0 to Km. 69.608 (Collectorate Motihari East Champaran) in the district of PURBI CHAMPARAN in the state of BIHAR. And whereas the substance of the said notificatio n has been published in “Times Of India” and “Prabhat Khabar” both dated 05.07.2023; under sub -section (3) of section 3A of the said Act; And whereas objections have been received and the same have been considered and disallowed by the competent Authority (District Land Acquisition Officer, East Champaran) ; And whereas, in pursuance of sub -section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the com petent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub -section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Gover nment hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And fur ther, in pursuance of sub -section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Gover nment, free from all encumbrances.
