Detailed Summary

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, through Notification S.O. 4128(E) dated 11th September, 2025, exercises powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956). The Central Government has determined that land is required for public purpose, specifically for the widening, two-lane with paved shoulder, or four-laning, maintenance, management, and operation of NH-166 within the stretch from Km. 67.140 to Km. 145.300 (Ratnagiri-Kolhapur Section) in the Kolhapur district of Maharashtra. The notification declares the Central Government's intention to acquire this land. Any person interested in the said land may object within twenty-one days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, as per sub-section (1) of section 3C of the Act. Objections must be made in writing to the Competent Authority, identified as the Sub Divisional Officer, Panhala, who will provide a hearing opportunity. The Competent Authority's order under sub-section (2) of section 3C of the Act will be final. Land plans and other details are available for inspection at the Competent Authority's office. The Schedule provides a brief description of the land to be acquired, totaling 3.3942 Hectares of private land (primarily agriculture, some non-agriculture) across various survey/plot numbers in villages including Chandoli, Kerle, Talvade, Nile, Walur, Jadhav Wadi, Chanwad, Sasegaon, Bhairewadi, Gogave, Wadicharan, Charan, Donoli, Khatalwadi under Shahuwadi Taluk, and Awali, Dewale, Borpadale, Navali, Ambawade, Pimpale-Satave, Denewadi under Panhala Taluk, all within Kolhapur District, Maharashtra.

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-13092025-266134 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 4013] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2025/BHADRA 20, 1947 MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 11th September, 2025 S.O. 4128(E).—In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, after being satisfied that for the public purpose, the land, the brief description of which is given in the Schedule below, is required for building (widening/two lane with paved shoulder/four laning etc.,), maintenance, management and operation of NH-166 in the stretch of land from Km. 67.140 to Km. 145.300 (Ratnagiri-Kolhapur Section) in the district of KOLHAPUR in the state of MAHARASHTRA, hereby declares its intention to acquire such land. Any person interested in the said land may, within twenty-one days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, object to the use of such land for the aforesaid purpose under sub-section(1) of section 3C of the said Act. Every such objection shall be made to the Competent Authority, namely, Sub Divisional Officer, Panhala in writing and shall set out the grounds thereof and the Competent Authority shall give the objector an opportunity of being heard, either in person or by a legal practitioner, and may, after hearing all such objections and after making such further enquiry, if any, as the Competent Authority thinks necessary, by order, either allow or disallow the objections. Any order made by the Competent Authority under sub-section (2) of section 3C of the said Act shall be final.
