By notification S.O. 4001(E) dated 12 September 2023, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways declared, under sub-section (1) of section 3D of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the acquisition of land required for construction/widening (to four lanes) of the National Highway (NH34, Sagar-Kabrai economic corridor) from km 92.300 to km 123.000 (S.D.M. Office, Bada Malhera) in Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh. This declaration follows the Ministry's earlier intention notification S.O. 4846(E) dated 12 October 2022, the substance of which was published under section 3A(3) in the newspapers "Patrika" and "Free Press" on 20 October 2022; objections received were considered and disallowed by the competent authority, which submitted its report to the Central Government under section 3D(1).
