The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways issued Notification S.O. 3767(E) on July 10, 2026, declaring the acquisition of land for the Agartala-Bypass (Western Arm) Ring Road project in West Tripura District, TRIPURA. This declaration, made by the Central Government under sub-section (1) of Section 3D of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), follows an earlier notification of intent, S.O. 6078(E) dated December 29, 2025. The purpose of acquisition is for building (widening/four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management, and operation of the Ring Road, which connects NH-08 to NH-108B, spanning from Km. 0 to Km. 25.402. The substance of the initial notification was published in “Tripura Observer” and “Syandan Patrika” on January 17, 2026, in compliance with sub-section (3) of Section 3A of the Act. Objections received under Section 3-C were considered and settled by the Competent Authority, whose report was subsequently submitted to the Central Government. Upon the publication of this notification, the land, as detailed in the Schedule across various taluks and villages including Debendra Chandra Nagar, S. M. NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 10th July, 2026

S.O. 3767(E).- Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and
Highways, S O 6078 (E) Dated:29/12/2025, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3,
Sub-section (ii) issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956)
(hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intension to acquire the land specified in
the Schedule annexed to the said notification for building (widening/four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management and
operation of Ring Road in the stretch of land of Agartala-Bypass (Western Arm) Ring Road (connectivity of NH-08 to
NH-108B) from Km. 0 to Km. 25.402 in the O/o District Magistrate and Collector of West Tripura District in the state
of TRIPURA;

And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in “Tripura Observer" dated 17/01/2026,
"Syandan Patrika" dated 17/01/2026; under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act;

And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3-C, considered and settled
the same appropriately;

And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has
submitted its report to the Central Government;

Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers
conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land
specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;

And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall
vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.

Brief description of the land to be acquired, with or without structure, falling within the Agartala
Bypass (Western arm) Ring Road (connectivity of NH-08 to NH-108B) in the stretch of land from
Km. 0 to Km. 25.402 in the O/o District Magistrate and collector of West Tripura district
