In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (2) of Section 3 of the Control of National Highways (Land and Traffic) Act, 2002 (13 of 2003) the Central Government hereby establishes the Divisional Engineer of Public Works Department of Tamil Nadu State as Highway Administration who shall exercise the powers and functions of Highway Administration conferred under Section 24, 26, 27, 30, 33, 36, 37 and 43 of the said Act in respect of their territorial jurisdiction.
