Detailed Summary

In exercise of powers conferred under Rule 16(1) of the Petroleum Rules, 2002, and in continuation of the Government of India, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways notification S.O. 141(E) dated 7th January, 2025, the Central Government has issued Notification S.O. 773(E) on 27th January, 2026. This notification extends the permission for Hazira Port in Gujarat, specifically for M/s Adani Hazira Port Limited, to import petroleum into India by sea. This extension is granted in the public interest for the period from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2028. The operations for importing petroleum must be in accordance with the Navigational Safety at Ports Committee (NSPC) certificate number NSPC/047/2022 dated March 14, 2022.
