L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-13012024-251330 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 151] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, JANUARY 12, 2024/PAUSHA 22, 1945 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (Northern Railway) (CONSTRUCTION ORGANIZATION) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 12th January, 2024 S.O. 158(E). - Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways No. S.O. 3392 (E) dated 8th August, 2023 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, part II, section 3, Sub-section 2 (ii)( hereinafter referred to as the said notification) issued under sub-section (1) of section 20 A of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for execution of “Special Railway Project”, namely "Chandigarh - Baddi Broad guage New Railway Line", in the District Panchkula of Haryana State. And whereas under sub-section(4) of Section 20A of the said Act, the substance of the said notification has been published in "The Tribune"(English) and “ Dainik Bhaskar (Hindi)” dated 14th September, 2023; And whereas objections have been received under section 20(D) and the same have been considered- Disposed/disallowed by the competent authority. And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20 E of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub - section (1) of the section 20 E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of the sub-section (2) of section 20 E of the said Act. the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
