The Reserve Bank of India, via a notification issued from New Delhi on October 8, 2025, and identified as F. No. DoR.LIC.No.S5377/16.13.300/2025-26, has directed the exclusion of nineteen banks from the Second Schedule to the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 (2 of 1934). This action is taken in pursuance of clause (b) of sub-section (6) of Section 42 of the said Act. The banks excluded are: Andhra Pragathi Grameena Bank, Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank, Chaitanya Godavari Grameena Bank, Saptagiri Grameena Bank, Baroda Gujarat Gramin Bank, Saurashtra Gramin Bank, Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank, Karnataka Gramin Bank, Madhya Pradesh Gramin Bank, Madhyanchal Gramin Bank, Maharashtra Gramin Bank, Vidharbha Konkan Gramin Bank, Odisha Gramya Bank, Utkal Grameen Bank, Rajasthan Marudhara Gramin Bank, Baroda Rajasthan Kshetriya Gramin Bank, Baroda U.P.
