NHAI/PD/PIU -HZB/Expressway/3D ] MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND H IGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 10 th October, 2023 S.O. 4407(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the M inistry of Road Transport and Highways, 6133 (E) Dated:29/12/2022 , published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub - section (ii) issued under sub -section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafte r referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intension to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for building (widening/four -laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation 4/6 lane (Green Fi eld) access control expressway from Varanasi to Kolkata in the state of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal under Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase -II (lot -9 package -3) Under PIU Ramgarh in the stretch of land from Km. 184.200 to Km. 314.200 in the d istrict of CHATRA in the state of JHARKHAND . And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in “ Hindustan” & “Pioneer” ” both dated 07-01-2023 ; under sub -section (3) of section 3A of the said Act; And whereas objections have been r eceived and the same have been considered and disallowed by the competent Authority; And whereas, in pursuance of sub -section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, theref ore, u pon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub -section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acqu ired f or the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub -section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
