In exercise of the powers conferred by section 31 of the National Council for Teacher Education Act, 1993 (73 of 1993), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the National Council for Teacher Education Rules, 1997, namely:- 1. (1) These rules may be called the National Council for Teacher Education (Amendment) Rules, 2024. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the National Council for Teacher Education Rules, 1997, - (i) in rule 9, for the figures "1,50,000”, the figures and words "1,50,000+Goods and Services Tax or other tax as per applicable rates of the Government of India" shall be substituted; (ii) in rule 10, for the figures "25,000”, the figures "25,000+Goods and Services Tax or other tax as per applicable rates of the Government of India" shall be substituted.
