The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, by notification S.O. 1225(E) dated 11th March 2024, records that by earlier notification S.O. 2969(E) dated 5th July 2023, issued under sub-section (1) of Section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government had declared its intention to acquire land for building (widening/two-lane with paved shoulder/four-laning), maintenance, management and operation of National Highway No. 150A at the stretch of Level Crossing No. 18, Km 620+600 (design Km 646+087), Jevargi-Chamarajanagar Section, in Mysuru district, Karnataka. The substance of that notification was published in "Vijaya Karnataka" and "Deccan Herald," both dated 29th July 2023, under Section 3A(3) of the Act. Objections filed under Section 3-C were considered and settled by the Competent Authority, which submitted its report to the Central Government under Section 3D(1). The Central Government now declares, under Section 3D(1), that the land specified in the Schedule should be acquired for the stated purpose, and further declares under Section 3D(2) that upon publication of this notification the land vests absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances. RW/NH -12014/KNT(17)/16 -S&R(B)/3D ] MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 1 1th March ,2024 S.O. 1225 (E).— Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways S.O. 2969 (E) dated 05/07/2023 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) issued under sub -section (1) of secti on 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for building (widening/two lane with paved shoulder/four laning etc.,), Maintenance, management and operation of National Highway No 150A on the stretch of land L evel Crossing no.18 at Km: 620+600 (design KM: 646+087)(Jevargi -Chamarajanagar Section) in the district of MYSURU in the state of KARNATAKA And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in “ Vijaya Karnataka ” and “ Deccan Herald ” bot h dated 29th July 2023 under sub -section (3) of section 3A of the said Act; And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3 -C, considered and settled the same appropriately; And whereas, in pursuance of sub -section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub -section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub -section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
