The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), through notification No. Eco-M11/2024-CERC dated 23 November 2024, issued in pursuance of Clause 5.6(vi) of the Ministry of Power's notification on Guidelines for Determination of Tariff by Bidding Process for Procurement of Power by Distribution Licensees dated 19 January 2005 (as amended), the Ministry of Power's communication to CERC dated 13 April 2022, and the Ministry of Power's Resolution dated 11 July 2022 amending the Guidelines for long term Procurement of Electricity from Thermal Power Stations set up on Design, Build, Finance, Own and Operate (DBFOO) basis under the SHAKTI (Scheme for Harnessing and Allocating Koyala Transparently in India) Policy dated 6 March 2019, notifies monthly escalation rates for payment for procurement of power by distribution licensees under Power Purchase Agreements for the month of November 2024: an escalation rate of 3.04% for imported coal, 0.63% for transportation of imported coal, and -0.39% for inland handling of imported coal.
