No. JNU/Acad.III/3(17)/2025.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Act/Statute 16 of the Jawaharlal Nehru University Act 1966 (53 of 1966), the Executive Council, with the approval of the Visitor, hereby make the following amendments further to amend the Jawaharlal Nehru University Statutes 1966, namely:- 1. (1) These Statues may be called the Jawaharlal Nehru University (Amendment) Statutes, 2025. (2) They shall come force on the date of their publication in the official Gazette. 2. In the Jawaharlal Nehru University Act/Statute, 1966, sub Statute (1)(a) of Statute 23 (Disqualifications) and Statute (1)(a) of Statute 31(Removal of employees other than teachers) shall be read as under:- Sub Statute (1)(a) of Statute 23:- (a) "if he is of unsound mind or is a deaf-mute; " Sub Statute (1)(a) of Statute 31:- (a) "if he is of unsound mind or is a deaf-mute”.
