No. Eco-2/2024-CERC, dated 24th October 2024, issued by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) in pursuance of Clause 5.6(vi) of the Ministry of Power's notification on "Guidelines for Determination of Tariff by Bidding Process for Procurement of Power by Distribution Licensees" dated 19th January 2005 (as amended) and paragraphs 5.4 and 5.5 of the Ministry of Power's Resolution on "Guidelines for Tariff Based Competitive Bidding Process for Procurement of Round-The-Clock Power from Grid Connected Renewable Energy Power Projects, complemented with Power from Coal Based Thermal Power Projects" dated 22nd July 2020 (as amended 3rd November 2020), notifies annual escalation rates applicable from 1st October 2024 to 31st March 2025 for payments under Power Purchase Agreements, comprising 0.00% for domestic coal, 0.61% for domestic gas, -9.55% for imported coal, -6.86% for transportation of imported coal, 0.51% for inland handling of imported coal, 0.00% across all inland coal transportation distance slabs (up to 100 km through beyond 2000 km) and all gas transportation zones, -23.80% for imported gas, -6.86% for transportation of imported gas, 0.51% for inland handling of imported gas, 0.51% inflation applied to indexed capacity charge, and -0.62% inflation applied to indexed energy charge for captive fuel sources; the notification is signed by Harpreet Singh Pruthi, Secretary.
