                Detailed Summary
            

            
This notification, S.O. 3707(E) dated 8th July, 2026, issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, declares the acquisition of the Right of User in specific land for the purpose of laying an 8'' Ø OIL DISPATCH LINE FROM JAMBUSAR GGS TO DABKA GGS Pipeline in the State of Gujarat. This action is taken under sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the Petroleum and Minerals Pipeline (Acquisition of Right of Users in Land) Act, 1962 (50 of 1962), following a previous declaration of intention vide S.O. No. 5661(E) dated 05.12.2025, published in the Extra-ordinary Gazette of India dated 08.12.2025. Copies of the intention notification were available to the public until 01/01/2026. After considering the report from the Competent Authority under sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the said Act and being satisfied of the land requirement, the Government of India has decided to acquire the Right of User. Furthermore, in exercise of powers under sub-section (4) of Section 6 of the said Act, the Government directs that the Right of User in the land shall vest in the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC) on the date of publication of this declaration, free from all encumbrances. ONGC shall be exclusively liable for any compensation under Section 10 of the P&MP Act, 1962, and no legal proceedings will lie against the Central Government regarding the pipeline. The acquired land is detailed in the annexed Schedule, covering villages such as Masar, Gametha, and Gavasad in Taluka Padra, District Vadodara, State Gujarat, with specific survey/block numbers and areas in Hectares, Ares, and Sq. NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 8th July, 2026
S.O. 3707(E). - Whereas by the notification of Government of India in Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas vide S. O. No. 5661(E) dated 05.12.2025 issued under sub- section (1) of section 3 of the Petroleum and Minerals Pipeline (Acquisition of Right of Users in Land) Act, 1962 (50 of 1962) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), published in the Extra-ordinary Gazette of India dated 08.12.2025, the Government of India declared its intention to acquire the Right of User in the land specified in the Schedule appended to that notification for the purpose of laying pipeline for transportation of natural gas through 8'' Ø OIL DISPATCH LINE FROM JAMBUSAR GGS TO DABKA GGS Pipeline in the State of Gujarat by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.
And whereas copies of the said Gazette notification were made available to the public up to the 01/01/2026.
And, whereas the Competent Authority has, under sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the said Act, submitted his report to Government of India.
And whereas Government of India after considering the said report and on being satisfied that the said land is required for laying the pipelines, has decided to acquire the Right of User therein;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 6 of the said Act, Government of India hereby declares that the Right of User in the land specified in the Schedule appended to this notification is hereby acquired for laying the pipeline;
And, further, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (4) of Section 6 of the said Act, Government of India hereby directs that the Right of User in the land for laying the pipeline shall, instead of vesting in Government of India, vest, on this date of the publication of the declaration, in the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd., free from all encumbrances.
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd, Shall be exclusively liable for any Compensation in terms of Section 10 of the P&MP Act, 1962 and no suit, claim of legal Proceeding would lie against the central government of any matter relating to the pipeline.
