                Detailed Summary
            

            
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, through Notification S.O. 1833(E) dated 8th April, 2026, has declared the Central Government's intention to acquire the right of user in land. This acquisition is deemed necessary in the public interest for the transportation of LPG via the Haldia — Panagarh (West Bengal) Pipeline, which is to be laid by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited. The specific land for which the right of user is to be acquired is located in Bankura District, West Bengal State, and is detailed in the annexed Schedule. Any person interested in the described land may submit written objections within twenty-one days from the date of the Gazette of India's public availability to The Competent Authority, Haldia-Panagarh LPG Pipeline Project, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Government of India Enterprises, Ullas, Kundu Bhavan, TAAV07, P.O.Jotram, Purba Burdwan, Pin 713104. NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 8th April, 2026
S.O. 1833(E).— Whereas, it appears to the Central Government that it is necessary in the public interest that
for the transportation of LPG, Haldia — Panagarh (West Bengal) Pipeline should be laid by Hindustan Petroleum
Corporation Limited.
And whereas, it appears to the Central Government that for the purpose of laying the said pipeline, it is
necessary to acquire the Right of User in the land under which the said pipeline is proposed to be laid at Bankura District
in West Bengal State, which is described in the Schedule annexed to this notification.
Now, therefore in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Petroleum and
Minerals Pipelines (Acquisition of Right of User in Land) Act, 1962 (50 of 1962), the Central Government hereby
declares its intention to acquire the right of user therein;
Any person interested in the land described in the said schedule may, within twenty one days from the date on
which the copies of the Gazette of India containing this notification are made available to the general public, object in
writing to the acquisition of the right of user therein for laying of the pipeline under the land to The Competent Authority,
Haldia-Panagarh LPG Pipeline Project, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Government of India Enterprises,
Ullas, Kundu Bhavan, TAAV07, P.O.Jotram, Purba Burdwan, Pin 713104.
