Detailed Summary

The Reserve Bank of India, exercising powers conferred under Section 36 A (2) read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, hereby notifies that 'The Cuddalore and Villupuram District Central Co-operative Bank's Employees Cooperative Bank Ltd., Cuddalore – 607001, Tamil Nadu' has ceased to be a co-operative bank within the meaning of the said Act. Consequently, all provisions of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, applicable to the aforementioned entity shall cease to apply, with the exception of things done or omitted before the issuance of this notice.
