The original intent was for the building (widening/four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management, and operation of NH30 in the stretch from Km. 0 to Km. 23.5 in the Patna district, Bihar. The substance of this intent notification was published in "The Times of India" and "Hindustan" on November 12, 2025, as per sub-section (3) of section 3A. Subsequently, the Competent Authority received, considered, and settled objections filed under Section 3-C and submitted its report to the Central Government under sub-section (1) of section 3D. Upon receipt of this report and in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government declared that the land specified in the annexed Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose. Furthermore, under sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government declared that upon publication of this notification, the land specified in the Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances. The Schedule details land parcels, comprising both private and government land, totaling 1.554 hectares, to be acquired for the Construction of Atchampathu, Viratipathu Bypass from Km 6.6 to 10.4 of NH-49 Extn (New NH-85) in Madurai district, Tamil Nadu, across villages Erkudi, Sambakudi, and Vilacheri (CT) in Madurai West Taluk.
