RESOLUTION
New Delhi, the 4th November, 2025
F. No. E-11011/2/2019 -Hindi:—In supersession of this Department's resolution no. 11011/2/2019-Hindi
dated 31 October 2022, the Government of India have decided to reconstitute the Hindi Advisory Committee of
Department of Commerce. The Composition and Functions etc. of the Committee shall be as follows:-

II. Functions of the Committee
The Committee will advise the Department of Commerce and its attached & Subordinate Offices/Public Sector
Undertaking/Corporations/Autonomous bodies/Institutions/Boards under the administrative Control of the Department
on the matters relating to Progressive use of Hindi for Official purpose and allied issues.
III. Tenure of the Committee
The terms of office of the member of this Committee will be three years from the date of its Constitution, provided that;
a) A Member of Parliament nominated to the Committee shall cease to be a member of this Committee as soon as
he/she ceases to be a Member of Parliament.
b) The Ex-Officio Member of the Committee shall continue so long as they hold office by virtue of which they have
gained the Membership of the Committee.
c) The Member appointed against a vacancy caused due to the resignation, death etc. of any member shall be for the
remaining period of Committee.
IV. T.A. and other allowances
a) The Members of Parliament nominated in the Samiti will be paid Travelling Allowance and Daily Allowance as per
the provisions of the "Member of Parliament (Salary, Allowance and Pension) Act, 1954", as amended from time
to time and rules made thereunder.
b) Travelling Allowances and Daily Allowance to other Non-Official members of the Samiti will be paid as per the
guidelines contained in the Department of Official Language O.M. No.II/20034/04/86-OL (A-2) dated 22nd
January, 1987 and in accordance with the prescribed rates and rules as amended from time to time by the
Government of India.
V. General
Headquarters of the Committee will be at New Delhi.
ORDER
Ordered that a copy of this Resolution may be sent to all Members of the Committee, all state Government and Union
Territory Administrations, President's Secretariat, Prime Minister's Office, Cabinet Secretariat, Ministry of
Parliamentary Affairs, Lok Sabha Secretariat, Rajya Sabha Secretariat, Union Public Service Commission, Staff
Selection Commission, NITI Aayog, Comptroller and Auditor General of India and all Ministries and Departments of
the Government of India.
Ordered also that the resolution be published in the Gazette of India for general information.
