The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, through Notification S.O. 4083(E) issued on September 8, 2025, has exercised the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Bills of Lading Act, 2025 (18 of 2025). The Central Government thereby appoints the 10th day of September, 2025, as the date on which the provisions of the said Act shall come into force.
