5784 GI/202 4 (1) EXTRAORDINARY PART II —Section 3 —Sub-section ( ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 3528 ] NEW DEL HI, MON DAY , SEPTEMBER 9, 2024/BHADRA 18, 1946 CG-DL-E-10092024-257029 12.359 6.227 45.96 (1) (2) 17.970 23.161 िरों का 150% क ु ल (4 लेन) 11.805 87.13 0.0639 0.0639 1 26+368 26+431.9 बड़ा पुल 0.0639 MINISTRY OF ROAD TRAN SPORT A ND HIGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 6th September , 2024 S.O. 3859 (E).—Whereas, vide notifications of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways (Departme nt of Roa d Transport and Highways) number S.0.1399 (E), dated the 27th September, 2005 and number S.O. 79 7 (E), dated the 1st April, 2008, issued under section 11 of the National Highways Authority of India Act,1988 (68 of 1988) , the Central Government has entruste d the stretches from Kilometre 3.520 - Kilometre 214.200 (Tamil Nadu/ Pondicherry Border - Tindi vanam - Thiruvannamalai - Krishnagiri section) and Kilometre 0.000 to Kilometre 3.520 (Puducherry - Tindivanam section) of National Highway No. 66 in the State of Tamil Nadu and the Union territory of Puducherry respectively to the National Highways Author ity of India (hereinafter referred to as the Authority); Now, therefore, in exer cise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), read with rule 3 of the National Highways Fee (Determination of rates and Collection) Rules, 2008 and amended from time to time (hereinafter referred to as the "Rule s"), and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the M inistry of Road Transport and Highways number S.O. 3045 (E) dated 24.12.2010, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Governm ent, hereby levies the fee at the rate specified in column (2)of the Table 1 for net road section length of 26.739 Kilometre and for equivalent structure length (having length more than 60m) of 0.639 Kilometre (having length of 0.0639 km) and at one and on e half times the base rate for bypasses having length of 11.805 Kilometre costin g rupees ten crore or more on the type of vehicles specified in column (1) of the Table 1 below for use four lane of Pondicherry - Tindivanam Section from Kilometre 0.000 to 37. 920 of the National Highway number 32 in the State of Tamilnadu & UT of Puducher ry and authorises the said Authority either through its officials or through a contractor (hereinafter referred to as "base rate") the said fee, namely. The rate of monthly pass for a person who owns a mechanical vehicl e registered for non -commercial purposes and resides within a distance of twenty kilometres from the fee plaza is Rs 340.00 (Rupees Three Hundred Forty only) for the year 2024 -25 and is subject to revision every year as per the provisions of the said rules . 5. Fee for commercial vehicle (excludin g vehicles plying under national permit) registered in the district where the fee plaza falls shall be 50% of the prescribed rate for that category of vehicle provided no service road or alternative road is available for use of such commercial veh icle. 7. The driver or owner or a person in charge of a mechanical vehicle which is loaded in excess of permissible load specified for its category, shall be liable to pay fee for entering the overloaded vehicle on the National Highway to the fee collecting agency, e qual to the fee specified in sub -rule 1A of rule 10 of the said rules, and shal l not be entitled to make use of the highway section unless the excess load has been removed from such mechanical vehicle. 8. All definitions including category of mechanical vehi cles, its permissible load, category of exempted vehicles, service road, altern ative road etc. shall be as per definitions specified in the said rule. 9. The fee rates shall be displayed for information of the users in accordance with rules 1 2 of the said Ru le. 10. Based on the Base rate of fee per Kilometre for the base year 2007 -08 as m entioned in Table - 1, the actual amount of fee to be charges from the mechanical vehicles and the discounts will be calculated be the Authority. The same shall be got published in at least one newspaper, each in English and vernacular language and thereaf ter revised annually in accordance with the rule 5 of the said rules and the same shall be published in at least one newspaper, each in English and vernacular la nguage according ly. 11. The estimated capital cost of the Project as on date is Rs. 346.81 Crores (Rupees three Hundred Forty -Six Crore Eight One Lakhs only). The capital cost is subject to variation as the activities of land acquisition, utility shifting, tree cutting, etc. are yet to be completed.
