L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-10042026-271718 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 1731] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 8, 2026/CHAITRA 18, 1948 MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 8th April, 2026 S.O. 1799(E). — In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 3 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby authorises the Additional District Magistra (E), Dist.-Varanasi, as the competent authority to perform the functions of such authority under the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, in respect of the stretch of land from Design Chainage Km 0+000 to Km 21+153 of the National Highway Development of a Link/Connector Corridor connecting the National Highway- 31 (NH-31), Varanasi Ring Road and the New National Highway along the River Varuna for Decongestion of Varanasi City for building (widening / two/four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation in the State of (Varuna River Elevated Corridor) as specified in the Schedule given below.
