The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, through Notification S.O. 4082(E) issued on September 8, 2025, announced that in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Carriage of Goods by Sea Act, 2025 (19 of 2025), the Central Government has appointed September 10, 2025, as the date on which the provisions of the said Act shall come into force.
