No. 79-1/2021-TS.I dated the 18th February, 2022 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part III, Section 4, dated the 21st February, 2022; Whereas, to have a clear distinction between the responsibilities of Director and Chairperson and uniformity across centrally funded Indian Institutes of Information Technology, the Central Government has decided to amend the First Statutes of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub-section (4) of section 34 of the Indian Institutes of Information Technology Act, 2014 (30 of 2014), the Central Government with the prior approval of the Visitor hereby makes the following amendments to the First Statutes of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement.-(1) These Statutes may be called the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool (Amendment) Statutes, 2024. (2) Save as otherwise provided in these Statutes, they shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the First Statutes of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool,- (a) In the First Statutes for Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool, in Statute 1, in clause(1), after the word "Kurnool", the figures ", 2022” shall be inserted and shall be deemed to have been inserted with effect from 21st February, 2022. (b) in Statute 35, after clause (2), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:- "(3) In the event of occurrence of any vacancy in the office of the Chairperson of Board of Governors by reason of expiry of his or her tenure, death, resignation or otherwise or in the event of the Chairperson being unable to discharge his or her functions owing to absence, illness or any other cause, the Chairperson of an Institute of National Importance, may discharge the functions assigned to the Chairperson, for a period of six months or till the nomination of a regular Chairperson, whichever is earlier, with the approval of the Visitor and in case of expiry of tenure, the Visitor may extend the term of the incumbent Chairperson for a period of six months or till the nomination of a regular Chairperson, whichever is earlier."; (c) in Statute 36, clause (15) shall be omitted. Explanatory Memorandum.- In the First Statutes of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool, in Statute 1, in clause (1), the year of enactment was inadvertently not mentioned. Therefore, Statute 1 is amended by inserting the year 2022 with effect from 21st February, 2022. It is certified that by giving retrospective effect to clause(1) of Statute 1 with effect from 21st February, 2022 of the First Statutes of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool, no one shall be adversely affected. Note: The principal Statutes F. No. 79-1/2021-TS.I dated the 18th February, 2022 were published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part III, Section 4, dated the 21st February, 2022. Dwarka Prasad Mishra - Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur notification number S.O. 3641 (E) dated the 2nd December, 2016 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 2nd December, 2016; Whereas, to have a clear distinction between the responsibilities of Director and Chairperson and uniformity across centrally funded Indian Institutes of Information Technology, the Central Government has decided to amend the First Statutes of the Pt. Dwarka Prasad Mishra - Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub-section (4) of section 34 of the Indian Institutes of Information Technology Act, 2014 (30 of 2014), the Central Government with the prior approval of the Visitor hereby makes the following amendments to the First Statutes of the Pt. Dwarka Prasad Mishra - Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement.-(1) These Statutes may be called the Pt. Dwarka Prasad Mishra - Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur (Amendment) Statutes, 2024. (2) Save as otherwise provided in these Statutes, they shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the First Statutes of the Pt. Dwarka Prasad Mishra - Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur,- (a) in Statute 1, after the word "Jabalpur", the figures ", 2016" shall be inserted and shall be deemed to have been inserted with effect from 2nd December, 2016. NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 9th August, 2024 S.O. 3229(E).—Whereas, the First Statutes of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee - Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior notification number S.O. 3639 (E) dated the 2nd December, 2016 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 2nd December, 2016; Whereas, to have a clear distinction between the responsibilities of Director and Chairperson and uniformity across centrally funded Indian Institutes of Information Technology the Central Government has decided to amend the First Statutes of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee - Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub-section (4) of section 34 of the Indian Institutes of Information Technology Act, 2014 (30 of 2014), the Central Government with the prior approval of the Visitor hereby makes the following amendments to the First Statutes of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee - Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement.-(1) These Statutes may be called the Atal Bihari Vajpayee - Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior (Amendment) Statutes, 2024. (2) Save as otherwise provided in these Statutes, they shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the First Statutes of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee - Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior,- (a) in Statute 1, after the word "Gwalior”, the figures ", 2016” shall be inserted and shall be deemed to have been inserted with effect from 2nd December, 2016. Short title and commencement.-(1) These Statutes may be called the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (Amendment) Statutes, 2024. (2) Save as otherwise provided in these Statutes, they shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the First Statutes of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad,- (a) in Statute 1, after the word "Allahabad", the figures ", 2016" shall be inserted and shall be deemed to have been inserted with effect from 2nd December, 2016.
